Almost everyone has experienced, at least once, a small component of an object, piece of furniture, or household appliance breaking, only to find that the replacement part is difficult to source or expensive.
That is when you start thinking: “What could I adapt for this purpose? A piece of wood? A simple screw?” Unfortunately, it is often only after countless attempts that you realize the damn component is impossible to replace without buying a new one.
This is where a 3D printer becomes extremely useful. Of course, owning one is not enough; you also need to know how to use it. The hardest part is usually designing the replacement part.
