Easy SVG Lab is an educational web application developed by RCR Innovative Labs to introduce students to creating simple vector drawings in SVG format.
The app was created with an educational purpose: to provide a simple, clear, and accessible environment in which users can experiment with geometric shapes, lines, arcs, paths, and text. It is designed mainly for hands-on activities with middle school students and for introductory courses related to digital drawing, geometry, design, and digital fabrication.
Through a simple interface, users can create rectangles, circles, ellipses, polygons, lines, arcs, pen-drawn paths, freehand drawings with the pencil tool, and text. Shapes can be moved, edited using control points, rotated, connected to one another, and saved in SVG format.
The SVG format makes it possible to create scalable drawings that can also be used in later activities, such as graphic editing, printing, laser engraving, or integration into digital projects.
We do not aim to replace professional software such as Inkscape or Illustrator. Easy SVG Lab is focused on learning: it is useful for understanding how vector shapes work and for approaching digital drawing in a practical way, but it does not provide all the features available in the programs mentioned above.
